Medication Issues Lately..

I am having such a hard time with 2 necessary meds in my life: Blood Pressure meds (Thanks, Obama) and anti-depressant (Thanks again, Obama).   The 2 meds are a little incompatible.  However, the BP med works so well that I am trying to get this whole concoction to work! I have been so tired because the BP med causes depression!

Anyway, this is why I have not been really writing. I am just exhausted from dealing with this issue and trying to finagle things around.

I am happy Trump ditched the climate-change, Paris garbage.  I am not so happy that he is catching and releasing illegals.  I think Kathy Griffin is a deranged psychopath and unhinged, Liberal lunatic.  But, so many Americans admire her affliction.  Putin says Snowden was ‘wrong’ to release info on our government, Putin is wrong on this issue.

I think our cookie cutter medical system is a problem. They could maximize technology use to best service individuals. So with HBP the causal factors may vary but they want to throw the same Rx at everyone and do a live science experiment on your body with trial and error. So if you run chronically low potassium it may have something to do with your Rx tolerance. Right now I’m trying to boost my potassium dietary ways cuz there is hypertension associated with low potassium – hypokalemia and the Rx makes me just as sick as the HBP does. Also I do not believe in depression even though it runs in my family and with me. I think that there’s chronic illness that manifests as depression being the first indicator which can last for many years prior to the next stage emerging as symptoms. JMO. Profit profit everywhere. Making a new disease out of it is criminal IMO. I suspect that the health fanatics that try everything are fighting depression – recognize it as the pre-disease indicator as I do.

I now realize that I have run chronically low potassium for years and there’s probably a genetic component because my lifelong favorite foods are high potassium – but I don’t get them because they are expensive and because nobody else in the house likes them and cuz I’m too tired to cook for multiple palates each meal. After you read this I will come back & delete. . .

        • Now you’re making me nervous. I’m B-12 deficient and have to go for a round of shots every now and then.

In any event, hope you feel better as well. I’m praying for all.

Thanks. It’s really scary having issues with a crumbling system. Plus our PCP gave my husband the lecture so clearly she’s been told to let the over 75’s go. The various systems are getting territorial so I was confronted about my choice of hospital but the ambulance will only take you to the closest one (used to be the best but now the worst. ) I had 3 admissions in less than 2 weekshelves cuz they can’t get it right. A big tell is when they finish your sentences for you incorrectly. . .when trying to say your symptoms and then refuse to allow you to correct their error about what your body is doing.

Try medical tourism in Malaysia. Great care at 1/4 the cost. It’s getting popular for that. Private doctors. Calling Dr. Chiu, Dr. Patel, Dr. Ali! Take your pick.

Uncle Sam has made sure that option not available for many of us. . . But thanks. It goes against common sense. If things go wrong what recourse do you have?

    • Hey Koo, Im just tired more than anything. I take vitamins, exercise, you name it.
Meds are just screwed up right now.

Excellent link to prove a path (ology.) She didn’t learn after picking on Palin kids. It’s all out war. Hopefully this will wake up some people.

By the way – my figure that EVERYONE hated me for has been past chunky long time now. Oh well. The old bones require protective padding and they don’t have a drug to trick that!

Exercise?? Take up gold mining. It’ll make you smile, make you holler and jump and take them extras off. You live in the middle of a great area for it.

  • Blood pressure meds take a while to get used to. It’s like they revamp your whole body chemistry. It takes a while for your body to catch up.

    Hope you feel better.

Interesting. Been trying all kinds of home remedies for years now and none work. Lately been trying raw garlic followed by pepperoncinis to quell the heartburn – it seems to work but gotta start putting it in a cooler for the infernal wait times at most medical appts these days. After rhabdomyolysis I’m so scared of their medicine!

    • Still having the same issue 🙁
